Analysis:

This project succeeded because it brought brand strategy, digital infrastructure, and operational discipline together in one coordinated transformation.

Rather than treating the Tempest brand as a series of separate design and operational initiatives, I developed a holistic approach that improved product presentation, e-commerce workflows, inventory transparency, customer communications, and sales enablement.

This was achieved through cross-functional collaboration with on-site teams, outside sales representatives, and external vendors, I directed and aligned North American marketing, customer service, sales, finance, and engineering around a clearer, more consistent customer experience.

The result strengthened Tempest’s market position, supported scalable growth, and provided internal teams with more reliable tools and processes. Most importantly, the project established a sustainable foundation for continued optimization, measurable performance, and stronger engagement with dealers and fire-service customers nationwide.

Within 24 months, sales increased 47% and Tempest was tracking toward double-digit growth.

This was a result of:

  • Enforcing cross-functional project management

  • Driving consistent strategic marketing communication

  • Commercial operations and sales-support systems

  • Customer service leadership and workflow improvements

  • Pricing strategy and product positioning - COGS enforcement

Drove the Tempest’s website to e-commerce, supporting a more modern customer-facing experience and stronger commercial infrastructure.

This was a result of:

  • Creating a digital foundation to support product communication, e-commerce, customer access, and long-term commercial growth

  • Aligning product content, photography, internal needs, vendor coordination, and business goals

  • Driving a legacy organization to modernize practical systems - while balancing internal and external constraints
